Want to live to age 100? Try a power nap.

According to Dr.Maoshing Ni, we all have the potential to live up to 100 years old. Power naps may be a solution, because it allows the body to slow down and rejuvenate. Read more about it in the article.

Power nap: "I say sleep your way to 100. Everyone should take a nap. It does help people get a second wind, and it's an easy way to slow down and take in life."

Ni asserts that nappers have a 30 percent lower risk for heart disease and stroke, so it pays to work in that nap whenever you can.

Sleeping on the job can be productive!

According to this article, taking short naps to catch up on sleep can actually increase your productivity! Next time you feel like dozing off, make it up with a quick power nap.

...Dr. Sara Mednick of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, the nation's unofficial queen of naps and author of Take a Nap! Change Your Life, has done research showing that a "60- to 90-minute early-afternoon nap can improve perceptual-skill learning as much as a full night's sleep."

She discovered this by having sleep-deprived volunteers recall the position of bars on a computer screen. Those who weren't allowed to nap had lower scores by the evening of the first day, while people who took 60- to 90-minute naps not only saw improvement that evening but were 50 percent better at the test than non-nappers 24 hours later....
